Raunchy comedy Booksmart just dropped its trailer pants. The film is about two nerdy high-school teens who have spent their high school careers getting good grades, but are now trying to make up for it after realizing that yes, even the kids who spent their high-school lives having fun got into good universities.
Lessons will be learned.
Booksmart marks the directorial debut of Olivia Wilde. It is based off a screenplay by Emily Halpern, Sarah Haskins, Susanna Fogel, and Katie Silberman and was produced by Megan Ellison, Will Ferrell, and Adam Mackay.
The film stars Kaitlyn Dever (who was/is terrific in Last Man Standing) and Beanie Feldstein (Ladybird) in the lead roles, with support from Lisa Kudrow, Jessica Williams, Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis.
It premiered at SXSW and will open in US cinemas on May 24th. Check out the red-band trailer below:
