"Where were you when the sky opened up?" It's a question asked by The Dangerous Summer. The alternative/emo band have released the new music video for the track, their first new song since their return album in 2018.
Originally formed in 2006, the group would make waves in the late 2000s as part of the onslaught of emotionally charged pop punk bands. Signing to Hopeless Records in 2007, they released their debut album Reach for the Sun in 2009.
After finding success on the road and playing festivals like The Bamboozle, The Dangerous Summer called it quits in 2014.
The band returned in 2017 and released a new album last year, bringing with it a new, re-energized sound.
Vocalist AJ Perdomo has said about the new song;
"It has taken a million different shapes before it became what you hear today. This song is about letting go of your old self, and taking on a brand new world."
The Dangerous Summer will soon hit the road across the US with State Champs and Our Last Night.
