The Bouncing Souls are turning 30 this year, and celebrations will soon be on the way with the release of their new EP Crucial Moments and a new book. The song "Favorite Everything" was recently previewed and like much of the Souls' discography, brings with its pogo punk veneer an indelible, timeless, feel-good-ness. It's something that's been with the Souls since How I Spent My Summer Vacation and was perfected with The Gold Record.
It's amazing to think that after 30 years they've been able to maintain a level of quality and influence. Part of their upcoming celebrations will include a North American and European tour, along with what the band are calling their 'Hopeless Romantics Club'.
The club is special access to the band prior to their regular shows. It's a more family-friendly opportunity where the band will play acoustic versions of their songs and tell stories from the last three decades. Kids are welcome.
The Crucial Moments EP is due out March 15th via Rise Records. Check out the new track "Favorite Everything" below.
