But during his relatively short life, Yelchin proved that you could accomplish a staggering amount- both on and off-screen. And a new documentary about his life aims to remember and celebrate the lasting legacy he left behind.
Titled Love, Antosha, the documentary features Yelchin through home video, interviews and clips through his life- celebrating the films, the photography, and the connection he made with countless around the world. Love, Antosha features interviews with Chris Pine, Jennifer Lawrence, Zachary Quinto, Jodie Foster, Kristen Stewart, Frank Langella, J.J. Abrams, and William Dafoe to name some. From the trailer, we see that his mother, Irina, is also interviewed.
Premiered by his parents at this year's Sundance Film Festival, Love, Antosha has received some positive praise, with Variety saying that it was "a touching and surprising portrait". Love, Antosha was directed by Garret Price and will open in select theatres in August of this year. Nicholas Cage narrates the documentary. Check out the trailer below.
