Old ass Green Day song "Stay" surfaces
A Green Day song played live back in 1989 has surfaced in glorious (almost) high quality.
A Green Day song played live back in 1989 has surfaced in glorious (almost) high quality.
Titled "Stay", it was performed live at Berkeley Plaza show on July 22nd, 1989, where they opened for Killdozer.
The song has "I Was There" vibes all over it, and would have found itself perfectly at home on either of Green Day's debut EPs.
Rocksound uncovered the setlist for the show too, which you can see below, featuring songs that would ultimately become 39/Smooth and Slappy Hours.
