Cokie the Clown, the sad clown alter-ego of NOFX frontman Fat Mike, has announced the details of his upcoming solo album. Titled You're Welcome, the record is due out April 26th on Fat Wreck.
Cokie the Clown first made an appearance on the 2009 NOFX EP of the same name. Fat Mike made news as Cokie when it appeared that he made fans drink his urine at SXSW 2010. Turns out it was just tricks.
Check out the first single from the album, "Punk Rock Saved My Life", below. It's a Fat Mike solo album so strangely, the rest of the band ain't NOFX. On drums is Blink's Travis Barker (sounds like Travis), Dizzy Reed (!) of GNR fame is on keyboards while the record was produced by Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails).
It sounds pretty good. Like a NOFX track with better drumming (sorry Smelly).
